Clean Water for 30 Barangays
Building deep-well water systems in 30 barangays across Sulu where families currently walk an average of 4.2 km for potable water.
From the lakes of Lanao to the islands of Sulu, ZADAQAF Philippines distributes your Zakat and Sadaqah with strict Shariah compliance — feeding families, building wells, educating children, and restoring dignity.
“When a person dies, their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them.”
ZADAQAF Philippines was founded in 2014 by a coalition of Muslim professionals, ulama, and development workers who recognized that the Muslim communities of Mindanao, Metro Manila, and the Visayas deserved a charity that was both deeply Islamic and rigorously professional.
We are the only Philippine-registered NGO distributing all three pillars of Islamic charity — Zakat, Sadaqah, and Awqaf — under a single Shariah governance framework audited annually by both the Ulama Council and an independent CPA firm.
To collect and distribute Zakat, Sadaqah, and Awqaf with absolute Shariah integrity, channeling them toward sustainable programs that uplift the poorest Muslim Filipino families — orphan care, clean water, education, livelihood, and emergency relief.
A Philippine Muslim community where no neighbor goes hungry, no child is denied education, and every family has the means to live with dignity — sustained by a self-renewing endowment (waqf) that funds charity for generations.
ZADAQAF begins as a volunteer network of 12 Muslim professionals responding to Typhoon Yolanda relief in Leyte. We incorporate with SEC that same year.
During the Marawi siege, we delivered food packs to 18,000 internally displaced families. This crisis reshaped our work toward long-term rebuilding.
We established our independent Shariah Advisory Board chaired by Ustadz Dr. Abdulrahman Sarangani, with scholars from Al-Azhar and UP-IIS alumni.
Our first waqf asset — a 4-hectare agricultural land in Maguindanao — began generating yields that fund orphan scholarships in perpetuity.
From Sulu to Tawi-Tawi, Lanao del Sur to Metro Manila, we now serve over 127,000 beneficiaries with a ₱48M annual program budget.

Zakat is the third pillar of Islam — an obligatory 2.5% charity on qualifying wealth held for one lunar year. Use our calculator to estimate your due amount based on Islamic principles.
This calculator provides an estimate. For complex situations (business inventory, agricultural produce, etc.), we recommend consulting our Shariah Advisory Board.
Whether it’s your obligatory zakat, voluntary sadaqah, or a perpetual waqf contribution — your gift reaches the eight categories prescribed in the Qur’an, distributed by our field teams across the Philippines.
Every distribution is reviewed by our Shariah Advisory Board. Zakat is segregated from other funds and never used for administrative overhead.
Independent CPA firm Reyes & Tan Associates audits our finances yearly. Reports are public on our governance page.
PCI-DSS compliant payment processing via Dragonpay, GCash, Maya, Visa, and Mastercard. Your data is encrypted.
“And establish prayer and give zakat.” — Qur’an 2:43
Zakat is distributed only to the eight categories in Surah At-Tawbah 9:60. We verify each beneficiary through our field ulama network.
Our operations, banking relationships, and waqf investments are screened for interest. We use only Shariah-compliant banking facilities.
Waqf assets are invested only in halal industries — agriculture, real estate, halal food production. No alcohol, gambling, or conventional finance.
Zakat, Sadaqah, and Waqf funds are kept in separate bank accounts. Admin costs are funded only from non-zakat sadaqah donations.
Our Shariah Advisory Board meets quarterly to review distributions, audit fund segregation, and issue fatwas on operational questions. Every member holds ijazah from recognized institutions.
